Today I wanted to review a monthly subscription bag, called Ipsy. I have done some makeup and beauty subscription boxes before and I honestly was not the biggest fan of all them. But I got an email from Ipsy and it said I could order the September bag for only $10. I figured why not! I want to talk to you about the products I received and what I think about them. Let’s get started!
First thing first. I absolutely love how cute the packaging is. I think that Ipsy does a fabulous job at this. When you receive your bag for the month it is in an adorable bright pink envelope. Which is adorbs. Then when you open the envelope inside is a bag with all your products. The bag I received was perfect. It was a small black makeup bag with some texture. I will definitely be getting some use of this in my purse.
Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara
Now onto the products, I received in the bag. The first product I saw was the Tarte Mascara. I was happy when I saw this product because I have used it before and loved it. I love that the formula is cruelty-free and that it is also vegan. That’s all great but what makes it even better is that the product actually works amazing. My lashes were lengthened, volumized and held a curl. This is one of my fav mascaras. The only complaint that I have is that the product was soooo tiny. This is definitely a tester, that you could probably get for free from Sephora. But overall I do like the product.
Luxie Angled Shading Eye Brush
This is probably my favorite product to receive in a makeup subscription box. A girl can honestly never have too many makeup brushes. This brush has now become one of my go-to eyeshadow brushes. This brush works great for blending out shadows. The bonus is that this brush is so pretty. It is a gorgeous pink and rose gold color. Added bonus this product is also 100% cruelty-free.
Adesse Gel Effect Nail Lacquer
I have yet to give myself a full mani with this product. But I have tested some on one of my nails. It took about 2 good coats for the polish to not be opaque. The polish also has this gorgeous shine to it, that it looks beautiful even before you put your top coat on. It also dried quickly and did not smudge at all. I am excited to try this out on all of my nails. Oh, and did I mention that it is this cool gray color. Yet again this product is vegan and cruelty-free. YAY!
Manefit Face Masks
Everyone that receives an Ipsy Bag got this product. And there isn’t just one mask there is two! The first one is geared towards pore care, and the other one is to brighten. The one with pore care gas mugwort in it that helps protect the skin. The other face mask has lily in it to help hydrate your skin as well as clear it up. I can never be mad when I receive sheet masks because I feel like they are quick and easy refreshers for your skin.
Elizabeth Mott Eye Shadow
I received this product in this gorgeous toasted color. This is a great creamy eyeshadow that would be perfect for a smoky eye. It has great pigmentation. I think that this product is fabulous. My one complaint about this product would be is that the packaging is super tiny and is hard to get your brush fully coated. Overall I would say that I like the product and will be getting use out of it.
I would say that for $10 a month I think that Ipsy is a fabulous subscription bag. I liked all the products that I received. My only complaint was the size of some of the products. But don’t forget that you are only spending $10 a month. You honestly cannot beat that. I also like Ipsy because it gives me a chance to try out different beauty products. I believe that you would be happy if you sign up for Ipsy.
I hope you all enjoyed getting a peek into what I received in my September Ipsy Bag.
