Happy New Years babes! I wish you all happiness and joy in the new year. I wanted to take some time to reflect upon 2017 and all the crazy fashion trends that we saw. I picked my top favorite five trends that we saw in the last year and rounded up my favorites in each category. If you like any of the items you see in the picture all you have to do is click on it. I made it super easy if you want to add some of these items to your wardrobe.
Trend #1: Bold Shoes
There were so many different fun shoes that came out. We have seen pom-pom shoes, embroidered shoes, faux fur, and the list goes on and on. These are just some of my favs…
Trend #2: Athleisure
The athleisure trend was seen everywhere! You never knew if someone was coming from a workout or they just wanted to dress comfy. I was always the girl that just wanted to dress comfy.
Trend #3: Statement Sleeves
I especially love this trend because it helped add some flair to your everyday tops. I personally have a couple tops with statement sleeves that I could not stop wearing this season. Having statement sleeves can turn a boring outfit a little more fun.
Trend #4: Ripped Jeans
Personally, I own sooooooo many pairs of ripped jeans. I don’t know what it is about them but I think that they make an outfit. I use to never wear jeans and now I basically live in them. Once you find the perfect pair or ripped jeans you will never take them off. These are just a few of my favorites…
Trend #5: Faux Fur
Faux fur is seen everywhere, shoes, jackets, hats and oh so much more. Here in CT it gets freezing cold, no joke it is currently like 10 degrees. Faux fur is super cute and perfect for keeping you warm on the freezing cold winter days.
What was your favorite trend of 2017? I honestly don’t think that I could choose, but these are definitely my top five favorite trends. I wish you all the best in the new year. Let’s see what the fashion world brings us this year!
XOXO,
Sarah Elizsabeth
